FREE TSAO Field Training!

There will be 4 individual training classes available, as detailed below. Participants may participate one day or multiple days. The is no cost for classes and materials. Lunch is provided. Other meals and hotels are on your own.

Project WILD – Oct 16 from 8:30 to 5:30 pm at THQ – Train the trainer

Advance training for those who will lead training workshops to certify others to use Project Wild in their corps and camp programs.

Must be at least 21 years old and have completed Project WILD workshop (recommended) or have at least two years recent experience leading outdoor education classes.

Class will include overview of Project WILD, best practices for teaching, how to offer inclusive programming, and the fundamentals required for TSA Outdoors Project WILD Facilitators.

May attend only this class or combine it with other classes on the 17th and 18th.

 


Basic Archery Instructor Trainer (Level Two) Oct 17 & 18

Basic Archery Instructor Trainer (Level Two) Oct 17 and 18 at Crystal Lake, IL from 8:30 to 5:30 pm
(You must attend both days and have completed Basic Archery Instructor Level One) You must be 21 years of age to attend.
Advanced certification to train others to safely operate Archery ranges.
Must have previously completed Level 1 BAI training and have six months experience operating a range and be at least 21 years of age. Applicants must pass a proficiency demonstration and written test in order to be certified.May attend only this class or combine it with Project WILD class on the 16th, as appropriate.

 

Basic Air Rifle Instructor (Level One)

Learn to safely set up and supervise an air rifle range. Must be at least 18 years of age. Applicants will be required to pass a proficiency demonstration in order to be certified.

May attend only this class or combine it with other classes on the 16th and 18th, as appropriate.

 

Basic Archery Instructor (Level One)

Learn to safely set up and supervise an archery range. Must be at least 18 years of age. Applicants will be required to pass a proficiency demonstration and written test in order to be certified.

Class will include an introduction to Archery games and TSA Outdoors Archery Competition Model.
