Hype! Presents Abide & Band of Survivors

Hype! is a new feature at the Central Youth Network that aims to spotlight people, programs, initiatives, or Corps who are bearing great fruit for the Kingdom of God. Summer is well underway, and a couple Divisions are taking the opportunity to invest in discipling teens and young adults. We think it’s awesome, so here’s a little info on what’s happening and how you can keep up with it all.

Abide

Out of the Eastern Michigan Division, Abide is a three week summer ministry opportunity for high school students, as well as a few young adult interns. The Abide crew is up to all kinds of things this summer: small group Bible study, leadership lessons, corps-based service projects, and working with children and teens in VBS and day camp settings. Headed up by Sara Johnson, you can keep up with them by checking out the EMI Youth Department site, which will feature regular updates.

Band of Survivors

Metropolitan Division’s longstanding discipleship program is currently in it’s 11th year. Each summer, for one month, a group of teens and young adult interns live in community, minister at various TSA locales, study, worship, and pray. Headed up by Nate Irvine, you can keep in the loop by following along at the Metro Youth Network.
