The Day 5 report was released this afternoon, on the High Council’s ongoing business of electing the newest General of The Salvation Army. This is the favorite part of most participants, as they finally get to throw their voices together in the long awaited chant of “Speech! Speech!” All the nominees shared their prepared addresses, and read their answers to the Questions Committee questionnaire. Follow up questions, for clarification only, were allowed from the High Council members.

Let’s keep praying for the hearts and minds of all the nominees and the members of the High Council! Habakkuk 3:2 says, “Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.” Let’s pray for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit on this great Army.
